March Forward: Exciting Growth & Opportunities in Pompano Beach! 🌴 Exciting growth in Pompano Beach! Updates on The New Downtown, small biz resources & more. | On November 15, 2022, the CRA Board accepted Mad Room Hospitality's unsolicited proposal to serve as the restaurant operator for McNab House and Botanical Gardens, giving the green light for negotiations to begin. However, after careful consideration, Mad Room Hospitality decided to withdraw their proposal. Their decision stems from the demands of another project, which requires their full attention—both in time and financial commitment. Their decision to step away was not made lightly. As Darius Green, Director of Operations at Mad Room Hospitality, shared: "Mad Room Hospitality made the difficult decision to step away from the McNab House and Botanical Gardens project due to our recent reopening of the historic Mai-Kai. We recognized that successfully bringing both of these historic projects to life required significant resources, and we wanted to ensure that we could fully commit to delivering on our vision. That said, we still believe in the incredible potential of McNab House and Botanical Gardens as a focal point for Pompano Beach. The location is unmatched, and the vision was designed to benefit the entire community—honoring Pompano's history while creating a vibrant, self-sustaining destination." We are grateful for the contributions they've made, particularly in refining the restaurant's design. Their expertise has laid the groundwork for success, positioning us to find an operator who can fully dedicate themselves to bringing this vision to life. Progress continues uninterrupted! The restaurant and kitchen were thoughtfully designed to accommodate any Restaurant USA. The CRA is advancing toward construction documents and remains on schedule to meet development deadlines. Stay tuned for more exciting updates on this transformative project! We hear you, we value you, and we are dedicated to forging the best path forward for this extraordinary space.
